Vanadurga Temple Denthadka
Vanadurga Temple is located in Kedila Village in Bantwal Taluk of Dakshina Kannada district. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Vanadurga. Vanadurga is one of the powerful deities of Coastal Karnataka and the temple attracts large number of devotees from all places of Karnataka. Devotees come here and offer prayers to get the wishes fulfilled.
In the year 2001, the Vanadurga temple was discovered miraculously in the nearby forest in completely ruined condition. Later, the Vanadurga Temple was renovated and newly constructed by under the divine guidance of His Holiness Sri Raghaveshwara Bharati Swamiji of Ramachandrapura Mutt, Hosanagara. After renovation, Brahmakalashotsava was done in Jan 2005.
The temple premises also houses shrines dedicated to Lord Ganapathi and Shastara. You can also see a powerful Nagasannidhi near the Vanadurga temple.
