TarikereTarikere is a town and taluk headquarters in Chikmagalur district and located at a distance of 59 Km from Chikmagalur town. The name, Tarikere has been derived its name from number of water tanks by which the town is surrounded namely, Chikkere (Small Tank), Doddakere (Big Tank), Dalavikere, Ramanayakankere, Kenddarahalla.
