Sadashivarudra Temple, Surya, Ujire
Sadashivarudra Temple is one of the important temples of Belthangady taluk. The Sadashivarudra Temple is located in beautiful surroundings at a distance of 6 Km from Ujire in Nada village. It is a clean and pretty big temple constructed in traditional coastal architecture.
Even though the temple is dedicated to Sadashivarudra (Lord Shiva), the temple is popularly known as SURYA temple. The history of Sadashivarudra or Surya Temple dates back to the 13th Century. There is small detail inscribed near the Nandeeshwara Idol which indicates that the history of the temple dates even prior to the 13th century.
