Varadamuni welcomed Shankaracharya and handed over the sacred idols of Lord Rama, Lakshmana, Sita Mata as well as Chanrdamouleshwara Lingas to Shankaracharya with the intention that they could be worshipped permanently by Saints. Varadamuni had received these Idols from his Spiritual guru Agasthyamuni.
