If you love the sea, you can find the steps from the Kshitija Nesara Dhama right down the hill which will take you straight to the Ottinene beach. The climb back uphill may be slightly difficult but it is worth the trouble.

Road: Take a left turn on the Udupi - Bhatkal Road i.e., National Highway NH17 at Ottinene and the Kshitija Nesara Dhama is about 1.5 km from Shiroor.
