Nandi Hills
Nandi Hills is located at a distance of 60 km north of Bangalore in Chikkaballapur district. Nandi Hills is also known as Nandidurg. Nandi Hills gets its name from an ancient temple Nandi located on the hill. This temple houses a thousand year old sculpture of Nandi.
Nandi Hills is a closest hill station to Bangalore. It is situated at 1,478 meters (4851 ft) above sea level. A flight of 1.175 steps lead from the base of the hills to the top. Nandi Hills enjoys a moderate climate throughout the year. The rivers Pennar, Palar and Arkavati originate from Nandi hills.

- Tippu's Summer Residence: This is a beautiful palace on top of this hill. This palace is closed to the general public.
