Malpe Beach

Malpe is a located about 6 km to the west of Udupi. An important port and fishing harbor along the Karnataka coast, Malpe is situated at the mouth of the Udyavara river.

The endless stretch of golden sand, palm trees, blue sky and the flow of the sea, attracts a large number of tourists to Malpe beach.

Malpe is a perfect picnic place with its silvery, virgin beach. St. Mary's Island is nearby attraction.

Darya Bahadurgarh Island is another beautiful island across the bay. The other attractions of Malpe are Temple of Balarama and an old tile factory, constructed by the Basel Mission.
