Kadur is a town and taluk headquarters at a distance of 40 Km from Chikmagalur town in Chikmagalur district.
Kadur is situated at a height of 763 meters above sea level. The majority portion of the Kadur taluk consists of the Malnad or hill country, which contains some of the wildest mountain scenery in southern India.
