Dharwad

Dharwad, also known as Dharwar, has a history of more than 900 years. Dharwad has been a famous centre of learning for ages with many famous high schools, colleges and universities with good educational facilities. Dharwad is also famous for its Dharwad pedha, a milk-based sweetmeat. Dharwad is located 425 km northwest of Bangalore, on the main highway between Bangalore and Pune in Maharashtra.

Hubli
Hubli or Hubballi (in kannada) is major city and important industrial town. Hubli is located just 20 km south-east of Dharwad. There are machine tools industries, electrical, steel furnitures, food products, rubber and leather industries and tanning industries.
