Bajpe is small locality located at a distance of 15 Km from Mangalore. Mangalore International Airport is located at Bajpe and it is one of the main airports of Karnataka. People of Coastal Karnataka, Chikmagalur, Shimoga and Northern parts of Kerala utilize Mangalore International Airport located at Bajpe.

Durga Parameshwari Temple, Kateel: The Durga Parameshwari Temple at Kateel is surrounded by panoramic scenes and attractive greeneries. This temple is one of the important temples of Karnataka. This temple at Kateel is dedicated to Goddess Durga Parameshwari, also known as Bhramari. The Kateel temple located at a distance of 11 Km from Bajpe.

Nellitheertha: Located at a distance of 12 Km from Bajpe, Nellitheertha Somanatheshwara Cave temple is one of the sacred places in Dakshina Kannada district. The most interesting feature of Nellitheertha is a cave temple which is situated to the right of the temple. Inside the cave, one can find a beautiful lake and a Shiva Linga.

Polali: Polali, an important seat of Shakti worship is located at a distance of 15 km from Bajpe and situated about 200 yards from the Phalguni River. This 8th century AD temple is dedicated to Goddess Rajarajeshwari.

Kudupu: Kudupu Ananthapadmanabha Temple is located at a distance of 17 km from Bajpe. This is well-known temple for serpent worship. Main deity Lord Anantha Padmanabha is facing towards the west.

Moodbidri: Moodbidri is a small town located at a distance of 26 km from Bajpe. Moodbidri is known as the 'Jain Kashi' of South India and it is an ancient center of Jain learning. Thousand Pillar Temple is the main attraction.

Doddikatta: Doddikatta is a temple village near Bajpe and is considered a sacred shrine for Hindus. The main deity at the temple is Swambhoolingeshwara or Lord Shiva himself. The kshetra is unique for housing 32 Kuladevatas and the ever-growing Shiva Linga which is as it has grown since years with no carving or sculpting.
