Bababudangiri
Bababudangiri is located in the Chikmagalur district of Karnataka state.
Bababudangiri is a mountain in the Dattagiri Range or Baba Budangiri Range, range of mountains in the Western Ghats in Karnataka.
The Baba Budan range was originally known as Chandra Drona Parvatha because they naturally form the shape of a crescent moon. The Baba Budangiri range includes Mullayanagiri and Dattagiri/Bababudangiri.
Dattagiri/Bababudangiri is also popular for the shrine which is a place of pilgrimage for both Hindus and Muslims.

Caves: There are Three large caves. It is believed that these caves has been sanctified by three Siddhas contain their icons and Gadduges and a fair is held every year. The enthralling scenery around makes this a much frequented pilgrim centre.
Seethala contains a 'mutt' and the dual shrine temple of 'Seethala-Mallikarjuna'.
Waterfalls: Three waterfalls are located at a short distance from here. These waterfalls are linked with the epics; they are Gada Theertha, Nallikayi Theertha and Kamana Theertha.
Gada Theertha: According to the legend, Gada Theertha was created by Bheema, a Pandava prince using his 'Gada', the club, to quench the thirst of his mother during their exile. Hence the name Gada Theertha.
Nellikayi Theertha: It is believed that Nellikayi Theertha is a holy water. It is formed by Manikya Dhara waterfall. Pilgrims who bathe in the Nellikayi Theertha, leave behind one item of their clothing as per a local belief.

Nearest Rail: Shimoga is the nearest railhead.
Road: The place is connected to the nearby areas by good motorable roads. Few buses will take you to the location where the "Darga" is situated. From there it is few kilometers walk to the peak.
